What is the CCNA Wireless certification?
The Cisco CCNA Wireless certification tests and validates a candidates ability to install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot small to medium-sized WLAN's, with the focus on wireless LAN's using Cisco equipment. This particular CCNA credential will be retired early 2020. Candidates pursuing this credential must have passed the required prerequisites and the CCNA Wireless exam before Feb. 23, 2020.
Who is the CCNA Wireless certification for?
The CCNA Wireless certification is for any network professional that supports or administers wireless LAN configurations utilizing Cisco wireless equipment. Typical professionals include Network Administrators, Wireless Support Specialists and WLAN Project Managers.
Are there any prerequisites to taking the CCNA Wireless exam?
Candidates wishing to obtain the CCNA Wireless certificaton must first obtain any valid CCENT, CCNA (Routing and Switching) or CCIE certification. Cisco recommend approx. 2 years of relevant networking experience although this is a recommendation only.
How do I obtain the CCNA Wireless certification?
In order to obtain the CCNA Wireless certification candidates must pass one exam:

200-355 WIFUND Implementing Cisco Wireless Networking Fundamentals

The exam consists of 60-70 questions with 90 minutes to complete them.

Note: This exam must be passed before Feb 23, 2020. Candidates passing this exam before that date will be awarded the CCNA Wireless credential as well as the new consolidated CCNA credential which replaces this certification track.
What is the passing score for the CCNA Wireless?
Cisco exams are normally scored on a scale of 300-1000. Candidates should expect to score at least 850 points on this scale in order to pass although this is not an absolute threshold. Typically, the number of questions and the number of scoring points per question differs from exam to exam depending on the difficulty of individual questions.
What if I fail?
If you fail the CCNA Wireless exam you are required to wait a period of 5 business days before you are eligible to retake the exam - this effectively means a wait of one week. You must also pay the exam fee again for each attempt you make at the CCNA Wireless exam.
What does the CCNA Wireless exam cost?
For up-to-date exam prices, contact your nearest Cisco testing facility (Pearson VUE) to get the current cost of your exam. An overview of the exam costs can be found here. At the time of writing, however, the CCNA Wireless exam costs US$300.
Where can I take the CCNA Wireless exam?
You can take the CCNA Wireless exam at any local Pearson VUE testing facility. They have offices worldwide and you can learn more about them here. You need to register and pay the applicable exam fee before taking the exam, and make sure to contact your local testing center early to check on exam availability and current exam costs.
What are the recertification requirements?
The Cisco CCNA Wireless certification is valid for three years. After this time the holder must recertify in order to remain CCNA Wireless qualified but as this certification track is being retired early 2020, the recertification requirements are subject to the new consolidated CCNA terms.
